The Mahagathbandhan alliance - the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress and Left parties - on Saturday released its manifesto for the upcoming assembly election in Bihar. From 10 lakh jobs to farm loan waivers, the manifesto has a plenty of promises. The manifesto was released by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav while Congress leaders Randeep Singh Surjewala and Shaktisinh Gohil were also present at the press meet among other leaders.
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to address election rallies in Bihar on October 23rd and October 24th.
Former Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey on Wednesday said he is yet to join any political party and has also not taken any decision in this regard.
Bihar Director General of Police (DGP) Gupteshwar Pandey on Tuesday took voluntary retirement from service, triggering speculations that the outspoken officer would contest the coming state Assembly polls. Pandey’s request seeking voluntary retirement was approved by Governor Phagu Chauhan, a notification issued by the state home department said.
