An off-spin bowling all-rounder Turner comes off as a handy middle-order batsman though his career is still quite young having made his T20I debut for Australia in 2017. Very healthy returns in the Sheffield Shield 2016-17 earned him a recall to the national side but since then he has been mostly seen plying his trade in the Big Bash League for the Perth Scorchers.

Playing only his second ODI, Turner hit an unbeaten 84 off 43 balls with five boundaries and as many six sixes to help Australia win in only 47.5 overs.
