Air quality of national capital is again a cause of concern as winter approaches. On October 11, AQI near Akshardham temple area in New Delhi showed PM 2.5 at 124 and PM 10 at 137, unhealthy.
As winter approaches, air quality of national capital once again started to deteriorate. Air Quality Index (AQI) is at 210 in Anand Vihar, at 214 in Patparganj and at 251 in Bawana; all three in 'poor' category, according to Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) data.

The environment panel, that monitors the pollution levels in Delhi-NCR, has said that it can restrict movement of private vehicles and entry of trucks to Delhi, if needed.
