In Agra, police arrested two youths at the Taj Mahal for pouring water from a bottle on the monument's premises on Saturday. The youths, who were allegedly performing a religious ritual, face charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for disobedience and defiling a place of worship.
According to the police, the six-year-old girl was first subjected to a rape attempt then the accused drowned her in the water tank. To hide her identity, he smashed her face, they said.
