Evidence found so far clearly shows that Umesh Kolhe was murdered by radical Islamists for extending support to former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma, who had made a blasphemous remark against Prophet Mohammad. Kolhe had forwarded a supporter’s message on the WhatsApp group.
The point to note is that all these caustic remarks by the bench are not part of the brief four-line order in which the petitioner was allowed to withdraw her petition. It means that Nupur Sharma can approach high courts and trial courts for relief. The sharp observations made by the vacation bench are however surprising.

Rebel Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde, along with 40 other dissident MLAs, left Surat in a chartered flight and landed in Guwahati on early Wednesday morning, in order to keep his flock together.
Agniveers will be inducted in two batches through 83 recruitment rallies between August and November in different parts of India. Training of 25,000 Agniveers will begin in December, and for the remaining 15,000, training will begin in February, sources said.
