Xiaomi Mi A1 has started receiving the Android Pie stable update. The phone was launched with Android 7.1.2 Nougat that was launched last year in September. The phone comes under the Google Android One programme that offers speedier software updates and stock Android experience. Mi A1 currently was running on Android 8.1 Oreo, for a long time.
Reports suggest that the new Android 9.0 Pie update for Mi A1 brings FM radio support. With the update, the phone will now get gesture-based notifications, the Digital well-being app, Adaptive Battery, as well as App Actions. The update is said to bring support for dual 4G VoLTE as well.
The update will be available as an OTA update that will be rolled out in phases. To check manually, users will have to go to the settings of Mi A1, followed by About Phone-Updates-Check for Updates.
