HMD Global finally announces its latest Nokia 7.1 smartphone. The happens to be the company’s latest mid-range device that runs on Android One. The phone was launched by HMD Global at an event hosted in London.

The Nokia 7.1 specifications include a 5.84-inch Full HD+ 19:9 display. On the top is a notch and the display comes with eighty percent screen to body ratio and also features HDR support. The display also supports SD to HDR real-time conversion. The highlight of the display is the HDR10 support with 1 million: 1 dynamic contrast ratio; 500-million pixels processed per second. This technology offers more accurate and smooth HDR video viewability. Other than this, the screen is backed with PureDisplay technology that allows the screen to adapt in indoor as well as outdoor light conditions. For protection, the display gets Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Powering the Nokia 7.1 is the Octa-Core Snapdragon 636 processor, clocked at 1.8GHz, paired with 3GB RAM+64GB storage and 4GB RAM+64GB storage that can be expanded to 400GB via microSD card. The phone runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) and is promised to get Android 9.0 (Pie) update.
For optics, the phone comes with a 12Megapixel (RGB) + 5Megapixel (Monochrome) dual rear cameras with ZEISS Optics and dual LED flash. Towards the front is the 8Megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 84-degree FOV. It gets a fingerprint sensor at the back and houses a 3060mAh battery with USB Type-C fast charging that delivers 0 to 50 percent charge in 30 minutes.Other features include Nokia OZO audio, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, Type-C 2.0 and NFC.
The Nokia 7.1 will come in Gloss Midnight Blue and Gloss Steel colours. The Nokia 7.1 price starts at 299 Euros (Rs. 25,400 approx.) and goes all the way to 319 Euros (Rs. 27,100 approx.). Pre-booking for the Nokia 7.1 start from 5th October.
