Apple launches Apple News+, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and a credit card: Everything announced at Apple March 2019 event

Apple has shifted gears and has announced new services that include the premium magazine and news subscription service called Apple News+, a paid video subscription service called Apple TV+, a new gaming service called Apple Arcade and a new credit card. Following are the list of services announced at the Apple March 2019 event.

Apple News+

Apple has announced the new paid news subscription service that focuses on providing access to magazine subscriptions and top news publishers at $9.99 per month. It will have more than 300 magazines and paid news subscription from companies like TechCrunch, Wall Street Journal and LA Times. Users will be able to download the entire magazine and read offline. The best part is that services will not track users reading and nor will it allow advertisers to track on the new Apple News+ app. Apple News + is priced at $9.99 and for now, is available in the US and Canada.

Apple Card

From being a tech giant, Apple has now taken a jibe into the banking side of the business and has launched the Apple Card. This is a new credit card in partnership with Goldman Sachs via Mastercard payments network. The Apple card will get added on to the user’s Wallet app using the iPhone or iPad. It will not charge any fee from customers for credit cards and won't have any hidden payments or annual fee. Users can opt for the card that will be added to their Wallet account and also chose for a physical titanium card that won't have any details like CVV number or card number except for the name of the user.

The Apple Card will offer daily cash back on every purchase and there will be no limit on the amount of daily cash and using the Wallet app, users will see the interest on this credit card in real-time.

The service will be available in more than 40 countries by the end of the year and is limited in the US for now.

Apple Arcade

Apple Arcade is a gaming subscription service that will be coming this fall 2019. Apple has put an Arcade tab in the App Store wherein users will be able to get access to paid games which will be limited to the Apple ecosystem.

Users will be able to download games and play offline. Making gaming more interesting is the fact that it won't have in-app purchases. Apple Arcade will be available in more 150+ countries by fall 2019.

Apple TV+

Apple TV+ will be Apple's video streaming service that will feature exclusive content like movies, television series and documentaries that include big Hollywood celebrities like Steven Spielberg, Jennifer Aniston, Oprah Winfrey and M Night Shyamalan.

Apple TV+ will not only cater to iOS, macOS and tvOS, but will up for all smart TVs that include Samsung, Sony, LG, VIZIO, along with Amazon Fire TV Stick and Roku. The Apple TV+ service is ad-free and will come to 100+ countries by fall 2019.
