Shuttler Kidambi Srikanth achieved what many aspire for! The 24-year old shuttler continued his dominating run to clinch the Australian Open Super Series title beating Olympic champion Cheng Long in straight games 22-20, 21-16 on Sunday.
The Indian shuttler took less than 30 minutes to outclass the Chinese opponent with his impressive all-round skills. This was also Srikanth’s third straight Super Series final after playing in Singapore and Indonesia. He also won the title at Indonesian Open tournament last week.
He became only the fifth player in the world to contest three consecutive Super Series finals.
