PAK 78/5 after 25 overs India are in the driver's seat as the women in blue have eroded have of Pakistan's side. Pressure is mounting on the Pakistan women and they are badly looking for a partnership.

PAK 43/1 after 15 overs India introduced spin after the powerplay amd it paid off. Rajeshwari Gayakwad removed Javeria Khan for 11 runs. Maroof and Ameen are building up Pakistan's innings.

PAK 26/0 after 10 overs After enduring a slow start, Amin and Javeria have picked up some pace. The Pakistan batters have aggregated 20 runs from the last five overs. India searching for a wicket to create pressure.

PAK 6/0 after 5 overs Meghna Singh and Jhulan Goswami are bowling in tandem to the Pakistan batters- S Amin and Javeria. The women in greefn are off to a very slow start and have gathered just six runs in the first five overs. The target of 245 runs looms heavy on the Pakistan women.

Pakistan need 245 runs to win from 50 overs.

Pooja Vastrakar departs after a brilliant innings of 67 off 59 deliveries.

IND 236/6 after 49 overs A century partnership between Vastrakar and Rana and both the Indian batters have smashed their respective fifties.

IND 207/6 after 46 overs The duo has brought a fine partnership in the context of the game and are nearing the 100-run stand between them. The two Indian batters are rotating the strike well, smashing boundaries and aim high total on the baord.

IND 188/6 after 43 overs Indian batters- Sneh Rana and Pooja Vastrakar are blowing at the moment as the duo has woven a 50-run stand between them and is still going. The Indian batter are gathering twos-threes and are sucking runs at the moment. India aim to get a handsome total on the board.

IND 160/6 after 40 overs 150 comes up for India and it is a happy sight to see the women in blue are accelerating. Pooja Vastrakar is driving India and is getting the scoreboard going and ticking. Tension mounting up a bit on Pakistan women who are searching for a breakthrough to stem the flow of the runs.

IND 134/6 after 37 overs Some good overs for India as the new incoming batter- Vastrakar has pressed the run throttle. Nida Dar was smashed two fours in a single over which ignited hopes in the Indian camp. Slight release of pressure for the women in Blue. Pakistan, however, looking for wickets.

IND 114/5 after 33.1 overs WICKET! India, who always fancy their chances against spinners, have given a loose show against the Pakistan Women spin attack. This time it is Nashra Sandhu who has dismissed Indian women skipper Mithali Raj at . A tossed up delivery, Mithali danced down and sliced it to the fielder at point at the last moment. The Indian batter gave an easy catch at point.

IND 112/5 after 30.5 overs WICKET! Not a pleasing sight for the Indian fans. The hope to accelerate score alongside Richa Ghosh has been soiled. Nida Dar gets her second wicket as Richa wasn't able to get underneath the bounce of the ball- an inside edge cost India an important wicket. India are badly looking for consolidation.

IND 108/4 after 28.4 overs WICKET! Nida Dar gets the big fish as she sends Harmanpreet Kaur to the pavilion for 5 runs. The Pakistan spinner is bowling stump to stump and this slight flighted delivery outplays Kaur who departs in an lbw. India 104/3 in 27 overs Runs have dried up with two new batters in the middle. Both Harmanpreet and Mithali are taking their time to settle down while Pak skipper Bismah Maroof has re-introduced pace into the attack in Fatima Sana.

India 98/3 in 24.1 overs OUT! It seems the tables have turned now as India lose another set batter in Smriti Mandhana, who was out of a soft dismissal by Anam Amin. Mandhana, who scored 52, chipped it back to the spinner for an easy caught and bowled opportunity. Not the way to lose your wicket after playing a sensible knock so far. Harmapreet Kaur is now in at No.5 with Mithali at the other end.

India 96/2 in 22 overs Mixed feelings there for India in the over as Deepti Sharma departed right after Mandhana reached her half-century in 70 balls. A compulsive sweeper, Deepti (40) missed the ball while intending to play it square as Nashra Sandhu dislodged the off stump after dragging her length back. Deepti, who was promoted to No.3 ahead of the WC, deserves a lot of credit for the innings as she rebuilt Indian innings with a 92-run stand for the second wicket. Skipper Mithali Raj now joins Mandhana in the middle.

India 87/1 in 20 overs Productive last 10 overs for India as 54 runs were added in the last 60 deliveries. The left-handed duo has increasingly grown comfortable in the middle as Smriti and Deepti have backed each other with regular boundaries. Smriti is now just three runs away from her half century while Deepti has entered the 30s.

STAT ALERT Indian opener Smriti Mandhana became the fourth Indian to score 2500 runs in WODI as she inches closer to her half-century.

India 65/1 in 16 overs The flow of run was briefly interrupted with the introduction of left-arm off-spinnerr Nashra Sandhu, who gave away just one run in her opening over. Fatima Sana continues to bowl from the other end. At this point, Pakistan have used all their specialist bowlers.

India 52/1 in 13 overs Runs are flowing now for India with the change in bowling and Smriti settling in. Nida Dar has been ineffective as Smriti and Deepti have boundaries of her while young pacer Fatima Sana is struggling with her line and length as well. Smriti and Deepti are now just two runs away from adding 50 runs for the second wicket.

India 33/1 in 10 overs Finally a big over for India as Smriti's miss-hit of the last ball by Nida landed over the fence of the long-off boundary to count nine runs of the over. This was also India's first boundary of the match.

India 24/1 in 9 overs Excellent opening spell by Anam and Diana as they tighten the noose over the Indian top order, who are yet to find a boundary. Mandhana has started to time her shots well after spending considerable time in the middle but has not find the gap yet. Right-arm orthodox Nida Dar will be introduced into the attack for Anam.

India 17/1 in 6 overs Spinner Anam Amin continues to bowl impressive with 15 dot balls, including a maiden, in her three overs as Indian top-order struggles to score runs in the early stages. The early troubles, however, were expected but Shafali's early fall has certainly disrupted India's momentum with the bat.

India 4/1 in 3 overs OUT! Terrible shot-making by Shafali, who paid the price for a wild swing across the line, allowing Diana Baig to claim the leg stump with a full and angling ball into the right-hander batter's leg stump. The seamer deserves some credit as she build up pressure with five dot deliveries. Certainly not the start India were looking for. Deepti Sharma is in at No.3.

India 3/0 in 1 over Interesting over by Diana, who kept Mandhana guessing by swinging the ball both ways. However, the right-handed seamer seemed inconsistent with two full tosses in the over. Fortunately for her, Mandhana couldn't capitalise on them. Left-arm spinner Anam Amin will bowl from the other end and Mandhana will be on the strike again.

6:27 AM IST Indian openers Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma are out to bat with the former to face the new ball bowled by pacer Diana Baig.

6:17 AM IST As per experts it's a good batting strip and should help the spinners later on. It is the same pitch that hosted the first match and saw over 500 runs scored -- in the game between hosts New Zealand and West Indies. And as far as the weather is concerned, it is a clear day with no patches of clouds.

6:10 AM IST Pak skipper Bismah Maroof, on the other hand, said it was a good toss to lose as they wanted to bowl first as they are going into the game wth five bowlers and have had good form entering the tournament.

"We wanted to bowl first, we now need to restrict them. We are going into the match with five bowlers. We have had a good warm-up, so we need to continue playing like that. I'm blessed to be back doing what I love, and getting some real support from the entire team," Maroof said.

6:08 AM IST Pakistan Women (Playing XI): Javeria Khan, Sidra Ameen, Bismah Maroof(c), Omaima Sohail, Nida Dar, Aliya Riaz, Fatima Sana, Sidra Nawaz(w), Diana Baig, Nashra Sandhu, Anam Amin

India Women (Playing XI): Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Deepti Sharma, Harmanpreet Kaur, Mithali Raj(c), Richa Ghosh(w), Sneh Rana, Jhulan Goswami, Meghna Singh, Pooja Vastrakar, Rajeshwari Gayakwad

6:05 AM IST Justifying her decision to bat first, MIthali said they will look to put a big total on board and put pressure on their neighbours.

"We'll bat. It's a good wicket to bat. put up a big total and put pressure on them. We're going with three seamers and three spinners. We want to go into the tournament with a clean slate, take some momentum from the last game which we won against New Zealand. The hunger to do well in WCs has kept me going," Mithali said.

6:00 AM IST Hello and welcome to our live blog of India women vs Pakistan women World Cup 2022 match. Starting as the favourites for the match, Mithali Raj-led India have won the toss and have opted to bat first.
