India have won the match by 56 runs and they have the momentum by their side before they can take on Temba Bavuma and his Proteas side. India are just a step away from entering the semi-final stage and they will look to outplay South Africa when they meet them at Perth.

    IND finish at 179

    The Indian cricket team has finished well at the SCG. Brilliant fifties from Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav. Kohli has carried on his form from the previous outing as he scored an unbeaten 62, while Sharma and Suryakumar scored 53 and 51*, respectively. Suryakumar got his fifty with a six off the last ball as India scored 179. Looks a good target, considering the pitch was a tad slow in the initial period. Can India defend it? Pringle went running back from mid on and it was not an easy chance but as he got his hands to that, it could have been taken. Will this be costly? We shall find that out soon. Meanwhile, Rahul wicket's replay shows the ball was missing the stumps. He would have been saved had India reviewed that.
