Kolkata: Team India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni arrived here on Thursday along with his newly-wed wife Sakhi to seek blessings from Goddess 'Kali'. The two visited the famous Kalighat Templer in south Kolkata and paid obeisance to the goddess.
Dhoni is a devotee of Goddess Kali. Sporting a new hair cut, Dhoni walked into his in-law's house in Alipore early Thursday morning amidst tight security.
The couple then went to the famous Kalighat Temple to seek blessing for a sucessful married life.
Dhoni tied the nuptial knot on Sunday in Dehradun with Sakshi, daughter of Rajendra Singh Rawat, an executive director with the Kanoi Group's Binaguri Tea Company that has its corporate office on RN Mukherjee Road in Kolkata.
Dhoni is yet to join Team India which is leaving for Colombo on Friday.
