Steyn Gun returns to IPL 2019? Proteas pacer Instagram story leads fans linking him to RCB

Royal Challengers Bangalore's poor show in the 2019 Indian Premier League continues with each passing game as the Virat Kohli led RCB has not registered a single win in the tournament.

The stakes are very high for RCB from now as they have to win every match from here to qualify for the play-offs and have to keep a reminder of the net run rate which is right now pretty low: -1.453.

Poor bowling and team selection of RCB have been criticized critically in this edition as excluding Yuzvendra Chahal, every other bowler in their side has been handed a walloping. But a surprise is waiting for the Bangalore fans as there are speculations that veteran South African pacer Dale Steyn may join their camp soon.

The rumours got fired up when Steyn posted a photo of his India's visa on his Instagram story with a text, "Ahhh, what's this little surprise.”

It's still not clear that whether he will play the rest of the IPL but the many fan theories suggested that RCB has to be the team he will be representing.

Within in few minutes after this picture was posted, fans took to Twitter to speculate where the Steyn-gun is arriving.

Some fan theories claimed that he will be replacing Australian pacer Nathan Coulter Nile in the Bangalore's team as the pacer has still not joined the team and is expected to come on April 13, but there might be some change of plans for Virat Kohli's team.

Steyn earlier went unsold in 2019 IPL auctions as no team was interested in picking him due to his constant injuries in recent times but his impressive comeback in international cricket has silenced many.

The Proteas' pacer has played for Bangalore's franchise in the initial years of the tournament from 2008 to 2010. In his time at RCB, he was the leader of their fast bowling department as he picked 27 wickets in 28 appearances for them.

With a bowler like Steyn in their team, RCB will surely get a huge boost and it will be easier for him to gell up with the team as his former South African skipper AB de Villiers is a core part of the team. The IPL can also come in handy to get some action before the World Cup.
