IPL 2019, MI vs CSK: Pollard flies to dismiss Suresh Raina, Twitter goes crazy!

In what could be the catch of the season, Mumbai Indians all-rounder Keiron Pollard pulled off a sensational catch which has left players and fans gobsmacked. Pollard pulled off a stunner to dismiss Suresh Raina during Mumbai's clash with rivals Chennai Super Kings in the IPL on Wednesday.

Here's how the commentary went for the dismissal - OUT! That is a stunner from Kieron Pollard! What an acrobatic piece of fielding. Short and outside off, Raina backs away and hits it hard over cover-point. For a second, it seems like it is a biggie. But out of nowhere Pollard throws himself upwards and catches it with one hand, not losing the ball as he falls on the ground! The Wankhede has become deafening. Chennai are rocked early. 33/3, chasing 171!

Here's how Raina was dismissed by Pollard.

And here's how Twitter reacted to Pollard's stunner.

Earlier, Riding Hardik Pandya's blitzkrieg, Mumbai Indians creamed 29 runs in the final over to reach 170 for five against Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League on Wednesday.

Sent into bat, Suryakumar Yadav compiled a half-century to lay the foundation for Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium.

Before Hardik's eight-ball 25 and Kieron Pollard's seven-ball 17, Yadav stroked his way to 59 in 43 balls against the CSK attack that kept the MI batsmen on a tight least till the last few overs.

Yadav, who hit eight fours and a six, also put on a half-century stand with Krunal Pandya (42 in 32 balls) to revive MI's floundering innings.

Towards the end, Hardik and Pollard struck big to remain unbeaten and boosted the total with the former striking three sixes and one four and the latter hitting twice over the ropes. The founder of the helicopter shot, Mahendra Singh, watched from behind as Hardik used it to good effect.
