Krishnappa Gowtham of Royals in action against Mumbai Indians

IPL 2018, RR vs MI Highlights

INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE (IPL) SCORE 2018 MATCH 21, RAJASTHAN ROYALS vs MUMBAI INDIANS: What a terrific chase from Rajasthan! A late cameo to ensure his side get back to winning ways. After losing a couple of wickets, Stokes and Samson came together and tried getting their side closer by making a 72-run stand. Stokes missed out on his fifty but the latter got there. When these were going, the match looked it their grasp.

But some blitz from Gowtham towards the end ensured that Rajasthan get two vital points. Mumbai Indians started their defence pretty well. They got two early wickets and put the pressure right on Rajasthan. It was in the middle when they lost shape a bit. But it was Bumrah's 17th over when all thought that Mumbai would get passed the line. But Gowtham had other plans and played a gem of an innings. A fourth loss for Mumbai in five games. Tough times ahead. (CRICKET STREAMING - RR vs MI) (SCORECARD)

Shreyas Gopal who has been very impressive in the tournament so far was taken to the cleaners. Jofra Archer though was outstanding on his debut as he finished with figures of 4-0-22-3 and ensured Mumbai are well within the reach. He was well supported by the other pace bowlers. Now 168 is what Rajasthan need. The wicket is good and they will surely back themselves to chase this down. Join us for the second innings in a short while.

Rohit Sharma is the next man in.

21.21 IST: OUT! That has gone high up in the air... Buttler calls for it, settles himself under it and takes it. The slower ball does the trick for Unadkat. It is on middle, Yadav does not pick it and swings way to early. He only gets a top edge which goes high up in the air towards square leg. The ball has gone so high that it came down with snow on it. Buttler goes towards it and takes a very good catch. He made that skier look really easy. So a good passage of play here for the home side. 20.57 IST: FOUR! Pierced the gap to perfection! This is outside off, Yadav waits for the ball to come to him and he guides it late through backward point. Once it beats the fielders inside the ring there is no stopping it. MI 110/1 in 11.4 overs

20.53 IST: 100-run stand up between the two! This is pulled towards long on. The batsmen complete a run. The fielder there has a shy at the non-striker's end but misses. There is nobody backing up and they steal an overthrow. MI 101/1 in 10.4 overs

20.52 IST:

20.51 IST:  FOUR! Just not learning here are the Rajasthan bowlers. This one is bowled on the pads. Yadav loves it there, bread and butter stuff for him. He flicks it through backward square leg and the ball races away. MI 97/1 in 10.2 overs

20.46 IST: FIFTY! WOW! Brings his fifty up in style. His third in the Indian Premier League. Gopal finally tosses this one up on off, Yadav goes inside out and he clears the cover boundary for half a dozen. Excellent innings from the opener, he needs to continue though. Mumbai Indians 86/1 in 9.3 overs vs Rajasthan Royals

20.45 IST: FOUR! Another drag down and Gopal has been made to pay. It was the wrong 'un. Kishan reads it early, goes back deep inside his crease and pulls it through backward square leg. MI 79/1 in 9.1 overs

20.41 IST: SIX! Helps it on its way! Once again Stokes angles it on the body of the batsman. Kishan rocks back, lifts his front leg off the ground and pulls it. It seems to have gone all the way but the umpire goes upstairs to check. Replays confirm it has carried over the ropes. MI 70/1 in 8.2 overs

Ben Stokes is into the attack.

20.37 IST: Strategic break has been signalled! Mumbai have recovered really well after the early wicket they lost. A good comeback by Unadkat after being hit for a boundary from the first ball. Mumbai are 43 for 1 after six overs.

20.24 IST: FOUR! This one is short and outside off, once again the wrong line with third man up. Ishan cuts it through point and the ball races away. MI 39/1 in 5.1 overs

Jaydev Unadkat is into the attack.

20.23 IST: FOUR! 18 runs from the over! A very expensive one from Kulkarni. This one is short and outside off, once again the wrong line with third man up. Ishan cuts it through point and the ball races away. MI 35/1 in 5 overs

20.22 IST: SIX! Excellent use of the wrists there. This one is on the pads, wrong line by Kulkarni. Yadav is very strong off his pads as he non-chalantly flicks it over the square leg fence for a maximum. Second for the over, Mumbai now looking to get a move on. MI 30/1 in 4.4 overs

20.21 IST:

20.20 IST: SIX! Enough, says Kishan! He has had enough sighters as this time he shimmies down the track, gets to the pitch of the ball and sends it sailing over the long on fence. MI 23/1 in 4.2 overs

Jofra Archer is into the attack.

20.09 IST: SIX! TOP SHOT! Stand and deliver! This was slightly full and on middle by Dhawal. Yadav stands tall and lofts it over the long on fence for the first biggie off the game. A much-needed one for Mumbai, this should break the shackles now. MI 10/1 in 2.1 overs

20.08 IST: Once again Gowtham darts it on middle, Yadav goes back and pushes it to mid on for a single. He will keep strike. Another tight over, a good start by Rajasthan. MI 4/1 in 2 overs

20.04 IST:

Krishnappa Gowtham to bowl from the other end.

Ishan Kishan is the next batsman. He copped a blow just below his eyes in the last game. He has recovered and has come out to bat at no. 3.

20.02 IST: OUT! DRAGGED ON! Dhawal Kulkarni strikes! An excellent start for him. Not to forget he was dropped for the last game and he has made a comeback immediately on return. Brief Preview: Having finally found the winning touch, Mumbai Indians will look to continue in a similar vein when they lock horns with beleaguered hosts Rajasthan Royals in an Indian Premier League (IPL) game at Sawai Mansingh stadium in Jaipur. Two-time champions Mumbai Indians were off to a horrible start this season, suffering three successive losses before skipper Rohit Sharma came to the team's rescue with a blazing 94 against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The 46-run drubbing of RCB has raised the morale of the players, and Mumbai Indians are seeking a similar outing against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday. Sharma was the reason behind the team breaking the run of losses and he is again going to be a key man for Mumbai Indians. West Indian Evin Lewis played his part with the bat, scoring 65, and then there are the likes of Kieron Pollard and the Pandya brothers - Hardik and Krunal. (Read Full Match Preview)
