India vs Australia: MS Dhoni’s acrobatic skills in 2nd T20I stun BCCI

Despite the age-factor, veteran wicketkeeper-batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni once again proved his impressive fitness levels against Australia in the second T20I played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Dhoni pulled off an acrobatic stunt while batting which has left everyone shocked.

In the 11th over of India's innings, Dhoni stepped out against Adam Zampa, to which the leggie responded and threw the ball little wide that became out of reach for the former skipper. Dhoni stretched his leg in the blink of an eye to do a 2.14-meter split to avoid giving Peter Handscomb the time to dislodge the bails.

Handscomb was confident, but the on-field umpire referred the decision to the third umpire. Eventually, the verdict was in Dhoni’s favour and the whole stadium started chanting Dhoni's name.

During the match, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also took to Twitter to hail the former Indian skipper for his effort. BCCI posted, "How's that for a stretch from @msdhoni."

It was a good outing with the bat for Dhoni as he was at his vintage best in the 40-run innings for which he faced only 23 deliveries. He smashed three massive sixes in his destructive knock.

Dhoni was also involved in a 100-run partnership with skipper Virat Kohli who scored quickfire 72 in 38 balls. Kohli, who is rather famous for his grounded shots, turned his beast mode on against Australia and smashed seven huge sixes at his IPL home ground.

However, in an anti-climax for the hosts, Glenn Maxwell ran riot against the Indian bowlers as he scored a flawless century to take his team to victory and to a series clean sweep. It was the first series loss (in any format) for Kohli as a skipper at home.
