Live Score, Bangladesh vs New Zealand, 2019 World Cup Match 9: Hello and welcome to our live coverage of Match 9 of the 2019 World Cup live from The Oval in London, where Mashrafe Mortaza's Bangladesh take on Kane Williamson's Bangladesh. After pulling off a memorable win over more fancied South Africa, a confident Bangladesh will take on disciplined New Zealand knowing they can upset their applecart in a World Cup fixture at the Kennington Oval here on Wednesday. Fast-improving side Bangladesh underlined their potential with a fine 21-run victory at The Oval over the Proteas who came into this World Cup as a low-key side always failing to match the hype. The Kiwis' superb bowling display saw them dismantle the Lankans for just 136 all out in 29.2 overs, with Matt Henry and Lockie Ferguson bagging three wickets each. (When and where to watch) (LIVE MATCH SCORECARD)

Highlights, Match 9: New Zealand (248/8) beat Bangladesh (244) by 2 wickets

01.43 IST: Mustafizur Rahman to Mitchell Santner, FOUR! Santner finishes it off in style. Full outside off, Santner gets on his front foot and creams his drive through covers for a boundary. NEW ZEALAND WIN THE GAME BY 2 WICKETS AND GO TOP OF THE TABLE.

01.40 IST: Mohammad Saifuddin to Lockie Ferguson, FOUR! Just a run required now. Full outside off, Ferguson deliberately guides it down the third man region for a boundary. Lockie has done the job here. Over to you, Santner.

01.36 IST: Mustafizur Rahman to Matt Henry, FOUR! New Zealand just need 11 now. Full outside off, it is in the slot. Henry maintains his balance and drives it through covers for a boundary.

01.26 IST: Mohammad Saifuddin to Mitchell Santner, FOUR! Off the edge! Full outside off, Santner looks to drive but gets a thick outside edge which goes fine of the man at third man and into the fence. NZ 234/7 in 45.4 overs

01.23 IST: Mosaddek Hossain to Jimmy Neesham, OUT! Taken! Well o well, when everyone was wondering why has Mosaddek been given the ball, he strikes! Hossain gets his second of the match. Neesham looks to finish the game and targets the part-timer. Hossain bowls a flatter one outside off. Neesham without coming to the pitch of the delivery looks to go down town but can only manage to offer a simple catch to Sarkar at long off. He cannot get the elevation and distance right. New Zealand 218/7 in 43.2 overs

01.15 IST: Mohammad Saifuddin to Colin de Grandhomme, OUT! Brilliant catch from Mushfiqur. Slower bouncer outside off, de Grandhomme looks to play the upper cut but mistimes it. It goes behind to Mushfiqur, he jumps and takes a good one hand catch stretching his right hand. Mushfiqur Rahim has not had a good game here but he has taken a brilliant catch. New Zealand 218/6 in 42.5 overs

01.10 IST: Mohammad Saifuddin to Colin de Grandhomme, FOUR! Almost chopped on. New Zealand are not complaining though, they will take it no matter how they come. Good length ball outside off, de Grandhomme looks to play it on the off side but gets an inside edge which misses the stumps and goes to the fine leg fence. First mishits the slower ball and now the inside edge misses the stumps. De Grandhomme is clearly riding his luck here.

01.05 IST: Mustafizur Rahman to Jimmy Neesham, FOUR! This should get Neesham going. Full outside off, Neesham slashes it over covers for a boundary. NZ 212/5 in 42 overs

00.57 IST: Mashrafe Mortaza to Colin de Grandhomme, FOUR! De Grandhomme is not gonna miss a full toss that too on a Free Hit. Full toss outside off, de Grandhomme smashes it over covers and it bounces inside the ropes for a boundary. NZ 197/5 in 39.1 overs

00.53 IST: Mosaddek Hossain to Ross Taylor, OUT! Big, big wicket here for Bangladesh. It was a nothing delivery. Mosaddek bowls it down the leg side, Taylor looks to flick it but gets a feather on it. Mushfiqur takes it behind the stumps and puts in an appeal. The umpire raises his finger and Taylor walks back without even reviewing it. New Zealand 191/5 in 38.6 overs

00.47 IST: Mosaddek Hossain to Jimmy Neesham, FOUR! Mosaddek is guilty of bowling on the pads, Taylor makes the full use of it and flicks it over mid-wicket for a boundary. NZ 187/4 in 36.2 overs

00.41 IST: Mehedi Hasan to Jimmy Neesham, SIX! Neesham has taken the charge here. Tossed up on off, Neesham frees his arm and smashes it over long on. The ball bounces just on the cushion and it has been signalled as six. NZ 177/4 in 36 overs

* Is that a run out now? Neesham could be in trouble here. Bangladesh are celebrating. A direct hit might have just caught Neesham short.

* DRINKS BREAK. Is the game changing? You never know these days. Mew Zealand were coasting before Mehedi came, they still are coasting but if Taylor gets out now, we could have a game on our hands. Just 83 needed from 18 overs but is it JUST 83 or plenty in 83, we shall come to know soon.

00.23 IST: Mehedy Hasan to Tom Latham, OUT! Don't go anywhere as this match is not over by any stretch of imagination. Mehedi bowls it short on the stumps, Latham gets on his back foot and looks to hit it over the deep mid-wicket fielder. He is unable to get properly under it and ends up hitting it towards deep mid-wicket. For an instance it looks like it will fall short of the man there but Saifuddin runs in and takes an excellent catch diving in front. Wicket off the first ball and wicket off the last ball. What a brilliant over from Mehedi! Is this the over which will turn the tide in Bangladesh's favour? . New Zealand 162/4 in 32 overs

00.19 IST: Mehedi Hasan to Kane Williamson, OUT! Williamson holes out! Mehedi is a happy man. He tosses it up on middle and leg, Williamson comes down the track and looks to hit it over the mid-wicket fielder. Williamson's bottom hand comes off the handle as he looks to hit it and he ends up chipping it to the man at deep mid-wicket. Mossadek in the deep takes an easy catch. Have Bangladesh found an inroad in this game? New Zealand 160/4 in 31 overs

00.13 IST: Mehedi Hasan to Ross Taylor, FOUR! What a way to get the partnership over 100. Floated on middle and leg, Taylor makes room and smashes it through covers for a boundary. NZ 158/2 in 29.2 overs

23.58 IST: Mohammad Shaifuddin replaces Mustafizur Rahman.

23.50 IST: Mustafizur Rahman to Ross Taylor, FOUR! 50 for Ross Taylor. Short and punched through cover this time from the experienced Kiwi batsman, who brings up his 48th half century.

23.43 IST: Mustafizur Rahman to Ross Taylor, FOUR! Cuts it brilliantly, beats point and races towards the boundary.

23.33 IST: Mosaddek Hossain to Ross Taylor, FOUR! Mosaddek starts with a short ball outside off, Taylor cuts it through point. Soumya Sarkar tries to stop it with a dive but he touches the ball as his legs touch the cushion.

23.16 IST: Mehidy Hasan to Kane Williamson, FOUR! Beautiful shot this from the Kiwi skipper. Short outside off, Williamson cuts it excellently through point for a boundary.

23.11 IST: Mohammad Shaifuddin to Ross Taylor, FOUR! It had been a decent over from Shaifuddin, but he misses his length on the final ball. Keep it short to Ross Taylor, and he will hit it all day.

23.10 IST: Mohammad Shaifuddin replaces Mashrafe Mortaza.

23.08 IST: It has been quite eventful in the last few overs. A run-out chance missed, then a delivery which almost clipped the stumps after hitting the inside edge. And an over later, Taylor marginally saves himself from a run-out. Need a drinks-break to calm down the nerves here!

23.07 IST: NOT OUT! Ross Taylor is safe.

23.06 IST: Another run out chance! Do Bangladesh have one in the bag this time? Is Taylor short? He was stretching out. Looks to me like his bat is grounded.

22.59 IST: Shakib Al Hasan to Ross Taylor, FOUR! Taylor steps out and lofts it over the midwicket.

22.57 IST: BLUNDER! Mushfiqur Rahim dislodges the bails even before collecting the ball, and Kane Williamson is safe! A very costly mistake from the experienced Bangladesh wicketkeeper.

22.55 IST: Shakib Al Hasan to Ross Taylor, AND THAT COULD BE CLOSE!

22.53 IST: Mashrafe Mortaza to Ross Taylor, FOUR! Slightly full and wide, and Taylor cuts it brilliantly towards cover-point.

*Ross Taylor is the new man in.

22.48 IST: Shakib Al Hasan to Colin Munro, OUT! What a catch! Mehedi has taken an excellent catch here. Shakib bowls it flatter on middle and leg, Munro stretches out to heave it on the leg side. 22.37 IST: Mehidy Hasan to Colin Munro, FOUR! Munro gets down on one knee and picks it up to deep square leg!

22.33 IST: Shakib Al Hasan to Kane Williamson, LBW appeal! Mortaza takes the review!

22.31 IST: Shakib Al Hasan to Colin Munro, SIX! That's modern day cricket for you. A wicket falls and rather than defending the next one, Munro comes down the track to this tossed up ball and smokes it over the bowler's head for a maximum.

*Kane Williamson comes in to bat.

22.30 IST: Shakib Al Hasan to Martin Guptill, OUT! On the very first ball! Guptill decides to step out but mistimes it. An easy catch for Tamim Iqbal at long-on.

22.29 IST: *Shakib Al Hasan is brought into attack.

22.22 IST: Mehedi Hasan to Martin Guptill, FOUR! This time off the sweep. Six to begin his first over and now a boundary to begin his second. Hasan tosses it up on middle and off, Guptill gets down on one knee and sweeps it through square leg for a boundary.

22.20 IST: Mashrafe Mortaza to Colin Munro, FOUR! That is Munro power. Fuller on off, Munro smashes his drive through covers for a boundary.

22.18 IST: Mashrafe Mortaza to Martin Guptill, FOUR! Don't bother chasing that, it was four the moment he hit it. Mortaza bowls it on a length. Guptill likes it there at Mashrafe's pace. He whacks his pull over mid-wicket for a boundary.

22.10 IST: Mashrafe Mortaza to Martin Guptill, FOUR! HAMMERED! Oh yeah, bring it on! New Zealand are eyeing an opportunity to go hard against the new balls. Fractionally short outside off, Guptill pulls it wide of mid on and starts the run chase with a boundary!

22.08 IST: And the Kiwi openers are out in the middle.

Innings Break.

21.35 IST: Matt Henry to Mashrafe Mortaza, OUT! Third wicket for Henry in this game. Another good outing for the pacer. He bowls it full outside off, Mortaza looks to hit it over covers but gets a top edge which flies down to third man. Trent Boult stationed there takes an easy catch. New Zealand just a wicket away from wrapping up this innings.

21.33 IST: Trent Boult to Mohammad Shaifuddin, FOUR! Poor delivery. Down the leg, and all it needed was a little push.

21.30 IST: Trent Boult to Mehidy Hasan, OUT! Boult gets his second of the game. Smart thinking this from Boult. He follows the slower one with a bouncer. Hasan comes down the track and looks to pull it but gets a feather on it which goes behind to Latham. He takes the catch and starts celebrating. Hasan is unmoved but the umpire raises his finger.

21.21 IST: Trent Boult to Mosaddek Hossain, OUT! In the air...and taken. Full ball on middle, Boult misses his yorker and ends up bowling a full ball. Mosaddek clears his front leg and looks to tonk it over long on. He does not time it well and hits it in front of long on. Martin Guptill there comes in and takes an easy catch.

21.20 IST: Lockie Ferguson to Mohammad Shaifuddin, FOUR! Shaifuddin is shifting gears, and rightly so. Pulls it towards the midwicket this time!

21.16 IST: Mitchell Santner to Mohammad Shaifuddin, SIX! Boy, did Bangladesh need that. Smacked that hard towards long-off!

21.16 IST: NOT OUT! A slight edge on the bat saves Shaifuddin.

21.15 IST: Mitchell Santner to Mohammad Shaifuddin, LBW appeal! Kane Williamson has asked for a review!

21.07 IST: Mitchell Santner to Mohammad Shaifuddin, FOUR, FINALLY! Rare to see a Kiwi do this. Landed outside off, Saifuddin punches this behind point. Matt Henry runs after it from short third man, gets to it, puts in a slide but while pushing the ball away, he ends up pushing it back into the ropes!

21.03 IST: Mitchell Santner to Mahmudullah, OUT! The end of a sorry innings for Mahmudullah. The batsman was clearly unable to time the ball and ended up giving a simple catch to Kane Williamson on the cover.

21.01 IST: Bangladesh has scored only 37 runs between overs 31-40. Struggling.

21.00 IST: Lockie Ferguson to Mahmudullah, the batsman, who played a quick-fire innings of 46 in 33 balls against SOuth Africa, is simply not middling it well here.

20.53 IST: Lockie Ferguson to Mahmudullah, a lot of width on offer for Mahmudullah, but the batsman simply cannot clear past Martin Guptill, who's doing an excellent "You Shalt Not Pass" impersonation of Gandalf.

20.53 IST: Lockie Ferguson replaces Matt Henry.

20.52 IST: The projected score right now is 238. Surely Bangladesh would need more than that?

20.51 IST: Trent Boult to Mahmudullah, 1 run. The big shots have dried up for Bangladesh at the moment. A couple of risky singles are what keeping the scoreboard ticking.

20.42 IST: Matt Henry to Mohammad Mithun, OUT! Short-length from Henry and Mithun decided to pull it. However, the timing was bad and the ball fails to travel the distance. An easy catch for de Grandhomme on fine leg. Mithun c de Grandhomme b Henry 26 (33)

20.37 IST: Trent Boult to Mohammad Mithun, FOUR! Knuckle ball from Boult, but poor line. Mithun just about gets the width and opens the face of the bat towards the slip. An easy boundary.

20.34 IST: Matt Henry to Mohammad Mithun, FOUR! Finally. That would've provided some relief to Mithun. He scooped a length ball into the air, and the ball lofts towards short fine leg.

20.33 IST: Mithun hit a pull, trying to find the gap between deep extra cover and third man, but rather mistimes it. The batsman clearly realizes that it's time to up the ante. 15 overs remaining.

*Trent Boult replaces Colin de Grandhomme.

20.26 IST: Mitchell Santner to Mahmudullah, Bangladesh are playing it slow. Both the batsmen are looking for ones and twos at the moment.

*Mahmudullah is the new man in.

20.12 IST: Colin de Grandhomme to Shakib Al Hasan, OUT! The dangerous Shakib is out of here. Good length ball outside off, Shakib goes chasing after it. He looks to cut it but gets a feather on it. Latham behind the stumps takes a good sharp catch behind the stumps. This is the wicket New Zealand desperately wanted and the ploy to keep the keeper up has worked.

20.05 IST: Mitchell Santner to Shakib Al Hasan, Fifty for Shakib. His 5th in 6 ODIs. He has looked brilliant here. Short outside off, Shakib cuts it past backward point. Lockie Ferguson from sweeper cover comes running in and puts a brilliant dive to stop the ball from going to the fence. He saves a certain run for his side.

19.58 IST: Lockie Ferguson to Mohammad Mithun, WIDE! Once again Ferguson misses his line and bowls it down the leg side. Wide signalled.

19.57 IST: Lockie Ferguson to Mohammad Mithun, WIDE! Lockie misses his mark on this one. Cross seam ball down the leg side, Mithun looks to flick but misses. Wide signalled.

19.54 IST: Mitchell Santner to Mohammad Mithun, Flights it on off, Mithun just guides it through the vacant slip region. Neesham gives it a chase and pulls it back with a dive. Mithun meanwhile comes back for the second.

* The new man in is Mohammad Mithun. Bangladesh keep getting starts but not quite the big ones. They need a settled partnership for starters.

19.45 IST: Mitchell Santner to Mushfiqur Rahim, OUT! This was coming, wasn't it? They have played a lot of games together but their communication today has left a lot to be desired. Floated ball on off, Rahim punches it wide of cover and looks for a quick single. Mushfiqur in fact gets off straightaway after hitting. Shakib though came forward for a bit and then sends Rahim back who was half way down the track. Guptill gets to the ball and throws it to Latham. The throw is a good one. Bangladesh 110/3 in 23.5 overs

19.38 IST: Neesham to Shakib, FOUR! Hat-trick of boundaries here and Neesham is under the pump here. Full again outside off, Shakib drives it uppishly wide of diving Guptill at point and gets his third boundary on the trot. BAN 103/2 in 22.3 overs

Shakib has caused himself some injury after that dive. The physio has come out to the middle. Nothing serious though.

19.32 IST: Colin de Grandhomme to Mushfiqur Rahim, FOUR! Brilliant from Mushfiqur. Good length ball on off, Rahim moves towards his off stump and paddles it over towards the fine leg region for a boundary. BAN 91/2 in 21.1 overs

19.27 IST: Neesham to Shakib, FOUR! Placed beautifully from Shakib. Slightly shorter in length, Shakib pulls it through mid-wicket and dissects the fielders at deep square leg and long on for a boundary. BAN 82/2 in 20 overs

19.26 IST: Jimmy Neesham to Mushfiqur Rahim, Solid shot but for just one. Good length ball outside off. Neesham offers width and Mushfiqur hits it hard but to the man at sweeper cover. Gets only a run. Neesham is lucky to escape that.

19.18 IST: Colin de Grandhomme to Mushfiqur Rahim, Good length ball on off, Rahim turns it to fine leg and gets a single.

* Drinks Break! Excellent bowling from the Kiwis. They have not let the Bangladesh batsmen to run away with the game by curtailing and that has resulted in a couple of wickets. The track looks a good one to bat on and hence, the Men In Green would be aiming to try and counter-attack. Will be interesting to see New Zealand's response if the storm arrives. This is the batting storm. The overcast conditions indicate that it might rain anytime. Fingers crossed. Looks very dark.

19.10 IST: Colin de Grandhomme to Mushfiqur Rahim, IN THE AIR... CHANCE MISSED... FOUR! Has Trent Boult missed an opportunity here? Short and around middle, Rahim comes down the track and looks to play the pull. He miscues and it goes high in the air. Does not have enough distance on it though and Trent Boult covers great distance to his left from fine leg. But in the end, he chooses not to go for the catch and the ball goes past him, bouncing into the ropes! Should he have dived and gone for the catch?

19.08 IST: Lockie Ferguson to Mushfiqur Rahim, Another good ball. 145 kph ball hitting back of a length. The ball zips off the surface, Mushfiqur looks to defend but gets beaten all ends up.

19.02 IST: Colin de Grandhomme to Mushfiqur Rahim, Huge shout for LBW! Turned down! No shot offered. Risky.

Mushfiqur Rahim walks out at number 4.

18.58 IST: Lockie Ferguson to Tamim Iqbal, OUT! The short ball does the trick here. It is a well directed short ball from Lockie. It is on the body, Tamim looks to pull but he ends up hitting it off the upper half of his bat and it lobs up towards short mid-wicket. Trent Boult there takes a simple catch.

18.55 IST: Lockie Ferguson to Tamim Iqbal, WIDE! Lockie misses his mark with his bouncer. It is down the leg side, Tamim ducks under it and the umpire signals it as wide.

Tamim though wanted the second and he sets off on his bike. Shakib though sends him back. Boult runs to his left and throws it at the keeper's end.

Lockie Ferguson is into the attack now.

18.45 IST: Matt Henry to Shakib Al Hasan, Shakib Pulls this shorter one from Henry through mid-wicket. A run added to the total.

18.29 IST: Trent Boult to Tamim Iqbal, FOUR! Boult kept it short this time, but Tamim pulls it brilliantly!

18.26 IST: Matt Henry to Soumya Sarkar. FOUR! Are we sure we're not replaying the previous boundary? Similar delivery, but the ball travels faster as it is smacked by Sarkar. The batsman is finding his groove after a shaky start.

18.24 IST: Matt Henry to Soumya Sarkar, FOUR! SMACKED! Henry offers width this time, and Sarkar hits a brilliant cover drive!

The best support!

18.17 IST: Matt Henry to Soumya Sarkar, FOUR! Straight over the bowler's head! Finally a shot full of conviction from Sarkar. This one was fullish on the length, and Sarkar opened the face of the bat to tonk it over Henry.

18.09 IST: Matt Henry to Soumya Sarkar, Sarkar has been unconvincing so far, as he has been beaten a couple of times.

18.08 IST: Tight over from Boult, as he concedes only three.

18.04 IST: Trent Boult to bowl the second over.

18.01 IST: Matt Henry to Tamim Iqbal, FOUR! Poor delivery. Henry bowls towards the leg side and all Tamim needed to do was flick it towards the third-man. Bangladesh are up and running.

18.00 IST: Matt Henry to begin.

17.58 IST: The players are out.

17.56 IST: The pitch is grassy, but it's England. And so, look towards the sky. It's overcast out there. Can anyone else imagine Trent Boult swinging those 140 km/h deliveries away from the left-handers?

Meanwhile, in Southampton, Yuzvendra Chahal is running riot!
