Pradeep has had a fairytale career of sorts. Having not touched a cricket ball till he was 20, he found himself playing for his country's Test side within 3 years. After winning a pace contest in 2007, he was fast-tracked into the Sri Lanka A side where again he impressed with his slinging action and high pace. Even though his career has been beset with injuries, Sri Lanka will need every ounce of that pace on the seaming wickets of England in June 2019.
