Yadav had made objectionable remarks on Women Reservation Bill as well. Opposing the bill, he had said that if it were to be implemented, only "par-kati" or women who get their hair cut would benefit.
It should be recalled that Sharad Yadav represented Jabalpur seat of Madhya Pradesh in Lok Sabha in the past before shifting his base to Bihar. Presently, he is an MP from Madhepura Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar.
