Bhopal, Feb 20: JD (U) president Sharad Yadav has once again landed in controversy for his sexist remarks.
Yadav was addressing a press conference in Bhopal when a female reporter asked him which of the two states, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh, was better off. Yadav obviously did not want to give a direct reply and in his attempt to parry direct answer quipped, “Both states are beautiful, the whole country is beautiful, even you are very beautiful''.
Sharad Yadav's comments evoked laughter from those present but it did not go down well with his political opponents. The state unit of Congress reacted by saying that Yadav's compliments to the women reporter was not genuine. CPM , on the other hand, advised Yadav to be more discreet.
