Pakistan spiritual leader violated visa norms: Congress leader

Jaipur: Leader of Opposition in Rajasthan Assembly Rameshwar Dudi today alleged that a spiritual leader from Pakistan, who was in Jaipur recently to attend a wedding, violated visa norms and went to the border district of Barmer to addressed his supporters. Speaking in the debate on the motion of thanks to the Governor's address, Dudi said that the spiritual leader Saiyad Taj Hussain Gilani came to Jaipur from Pakistan to attend a wedding and expressed desire to meet his supporters in Barmer which was fulfilled against the norms.

He, referring to some media reports, said that Gilani was allowed to go to Barmer against norms on request by a BJP member from Barmer where he addressed his supporters and also asked them to vote for the party in next elections.  Dudi said that it was a sensitive matter and showed that how law and order situation was in the state.  He also demanded from the government to probe the matter.

The Leader of Opposition said that the government has failed in providing round the clock electricity and criticised the government over the power tariff hike, law and order situation, deaths from swine flu other issues.  On the other hand, Kota North MLA Prahlad Gunjal, who was suspended from BJP for allegedly abusing and threatening a Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) for transfer of a male nurse in Kota, said that Rajasthan government need to focus on improving drainage system along with construction of toilets to make a clean Rajasthan and Clean India.  He said that poor draining system were still a main problem in the state and objective of the clean Rajasthan or clean India mission can not be achieved until the issue is addressed.

Gunjal also said that results in Delhi assembly elections were alarming for the party.

He said that he was happy to know that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has gone for a self assessment after the results.

Another ruling party MLA Ghanshyam Tiwari, who is known to have differences with the Chief Minister, focused his address on national issues and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his leadership and initiatives.
