Bhubaneswar: In yet another email to Orissa chief minister aveen Patnaik, suspected Maoists have threatened a Dantewada-type bloodbath in Orissa.
The threat mail, which reached CM's official ID late on Tuesday evening, comes close on the heels of a similar email (on March 27) that warned of Maoist attacks on vital installations in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri.
The police are still struggling to find the source of the earlier mail. The fresh threat has sent top cops into a tizzy. DGP Manmohan Praharaj confirmed the threat email and said it was being investigated.
‘‘Don't treat this as a joke,'' says the mail, according to sources. The Maoists, it says, feel sorry for the 11 cops who died in Sunday's IED blast in Koraput district and asked the state government to refrain from participating in Operation Green Hunt. Otherwise, it warns, there will be a Dantewada-like ambush.
