Kolkata, Jul 30:  West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today said she would not move out of her modest Kalighat residence here on grounds of security.

“I have been living there and meeting people every day.  Big leaders stay beyond the masses. I prefer to live with them,” Banerjee said in an interview with a Bengali news channel.

“I want to live with the people who come to me with problems. I have to look into their grievances,” she said when asked whether the huge number of people who turn up at her Kalighat residence could some day cause a law and order problem.

Trinamool Congress is in favour of Lokpal bill, the party chief Mamata Banerjee said today without giving her views on keeping the Prime Minister beyond its purview.

“We are in favour of the Lokpal bill. We are definitely against corruption. We will express our views only in Parliament,” Banerjee said in an interview with a local TV channel.

Trinamool Congress had earlier expressed itself in Parliament in favour of recovering black money from abroad, she said. PTI
