Rae Bareli: Congress President Sonia Gandhi today filed her nomination from Rae Bareli parliamentary constituency and expressed confidence that she would score a fourth consecutive win.
Flanked by Capt Satish Sharma and Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi walked into the Rae Bareli collectorate at around 1:30 pm and filed her nomination.
Coming out, Sonia Gandhi said: " The people of Rae Bareli have showered their affection on me and I hope I will again fulfil their aspirations."
Rahul Gandhi was today asked about a reported remark about BJP candidate and Gandhi family cousin Varun, appreciating the work done in Amethi and adding that he would do the same in Sultanpur, his new constituency.
A smiling Rahul Gandhi said: "What Varun has said is right. The work that we are doing in Amethi, including laying the foundation for an education hub and a food park to help farmers is being appreciated.
