New Delhi: The former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated on May 21 in 1991 by a suicide bomber in Sriperumbudur, near Chennai.The suicide bombing was carried out by Thenmozhi Rajaratnam alias Dhanu and LTTE was blamed for the assassination.Let's have a look at the final moments of Rajiv Gandhi before he was assassinated:1.Almost 2 hours after reaching Chennai for his campaign, Rajiv Gandhi was taken to Sriperumbudur in a white ambassador car.2.
