Madhu Koda was a 'prodigy' of the BJP and all governments of Jharkhand would come under the scanner, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Maken said on Sunday in Ranchi.
"The BJP is the mother of all corruptions in Jharkhand. Madhu Koda was its prodigy, as also some other ex-ministers who had the dubious distinction of having being in every cabinet. All of them are now in jail," he told a news conference here.
Attacking BJP leader Sushma Swaraj for charging Congress with having tasted 'madhu' (honey) from the Koda scam, Maken said the former chief minister held the mining portfolio in the Arjun Munda-led NDA regime and his alleged corruption began then.
'Isn't Koda a RSS product? Hasn't Koda won on BJP ticket? The BJP should know that Koda was its prodigy, and has no moral right to speak on corruption," he added.
He also BJP with kidnapping MLAs, including Koda, in 2005 to form the goverment under Munda.
"Joba Manjhi is one of the MLAs who was in all cabinets, which reflects how independent MLAs have no ideology, but serve their selfish ends," claimed Maken.
Manjhi is seeking re-election for the fourth time from Manoharpur seat as independent.
