India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav had a very rough IPL 2026 season. Last year, he finished as the second-leading run-scorer of the season and since then, the Mumbai Indians batter has flopped in international cricket and now once again in the IPL. This season, the 35-year-old made only 270 runs in 13 matches at a strike rate of 147.54. With that, he is now expected to lose his place in the Indian team.

Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant made 312 runs in 10 matches. Barring just one half-century, the keeper-batter hasn't done much in the season, as under his leadership, LSG finished at the bottom of the table. Soon after the season, he resigned as captain and in all likelihood, Pant may end up leaving the franchise.

Kolkata Knight Riders retained Ramandeep Singh for INR 4 crore after their successful IPL 2024 season. However, the all-rounder has failed to deliver since. He played for the Indian team a couple of years back, but since then, the graph has only gone downwards and the IPL 2026 could be the final nail in the coffin. He made only 82 runs in six innings before the team management dropped him from the playing XI in their last six games.

Ahead of the season, Royal Challengers Bengaluru vice-captain Jitesh Sharma was very vocal about having a fruitful season. In reality, he had a really tough outing with the bat, scoring 116 runs in 12 matches. Now, since he had Tim David and Romario Shepherd around him, Jitesh wasn't put under pressure, but he should take it as a learning lession and bounce back stronger. Or else, RCB will be quick to replace him.

Delhi Capitals' Tristan Stubbs made just 275 runs in 13 innings at a strike rate of 127.31.
