Over the years, there have been several captains who have been extremely deadly batters, and continuing on the same, let us have a look at the top five captains with the most international sixes in a calendar year.
5. Former West Indies skipper and ace batter Chris Gayle sits in fifth place in the list of captains with the most international sixes in a calendar year (within full members). It is worth noting that Gayle was brilliant for the West Indies in 2009, he hit 53 sixes in 36 innings in the year, which sees him occupy fifth place in the list.

4. Former New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum occupies fourth place in the list of captains with the most international sixes in a calendar year within full member nations. It is worth noting that McCullum was exceptional for the Black Caps throughout his career, he hit 54 sixes in 33 innings in 2009 as well.

3. Former South Africa cricketer and skipper AB de Villiers has hit the third most international sixes as captain in a calendar year within full member nations. Widely revered as one of the most talented batters to play the game, De Villiers hit 59 sixes in 20 innings back in 2015.

2. Former England batter and World Cup-winning captain Eoin Morgan has the second most international sixes as captain in a calendar year. In 27 innings, Morgan hit a whopping 60 sixes in 2019, which was the same year that he led England to the World Cup title.

1. Veteran India batter and former skipper Rohit Sharma sits at the mountaintop, with the most sixes by a captain in international cricket in a calendar year. In 2023, Rohit hit a total of 80 sixes in 39 innings, which was the year that he led India to the 2023 World Cup final.
