Sachin Tendulkar was the first ever centurion for India at Edgbaston in Tests. He played two Tests at the venue durng his illustrious career and scored 187 runs at an average of 46.75 with 122 being his best score. However, his century went in vain as India lost the Test match.

It took 22 years for another Indian batter to score a century in Birmingham in the longest format. Virat Kohli ended the drought with a brilliant 149-run knock in 2018. Kohli is also the leading run-scorer for India at the venue with 231 runs in four innings at an average of 57.75 with a century and a fifty each to his name.

Rishabh Pant loves playing against England. He put on a show against some of their best bowler back in 2022, smashing 146 runs. In the same Test match, he also smashed a fifty in the second innings. Unfortunately, India ended up losing the Test match with England chasing down 378 runs in the fourth innings.

Ravindra Jadeja came out to bat at 98/5 in 2022 and forged a brilliant partnership of 222 runs with Pant. In the process, the southpaw also scored a century. His 104-run knock helped India post 416 runs on the board in the first innings. However, his century came in a losing cause as India couldn't defend the target of 378 runs in the fourth innings.
