7 Players who will not be available for IPL 2025 playoffs
IPL 2025 playoffs are set to get underway on May 29 as Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians will compete to lift the trophy. However, all four teams will miss a few of their overseas players due to international commitments.
Marco Jansen of Punjab Kings is set to miss the IPL 2025 playoffs. He is set to be in action for the World Test Championship (WTC) final for South Africa and will be preparing for the summit clash. He was one of the best bowlers for PBKS this season, picking up 16 wickets in 14 matches.

Jacob Bethell of RCB will be missing the IPL 2025 playoffs as well. His loss won't be huge for RCB as he was the backup opener for them. Bethell played only two matches and scored 67 runs at a strike rate of 171.79. He will be in action for England in the ODI series vs West Indies starting from May 29.

Lungi Ngidi, like Bethell, didn't play much for RCB this season. He was also a backup pacer and he has left the squad to prepare for the WTC Final against Australia. In two matches, Ngidi picked up four wickets at an average of 20.25.

Jos Buttler will not be available for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2025 playoffs. Buttler will be massively missed in the GT line up. He scored 538 runs in 13 innings at an average of almost 60 and a strike rate of 163.03 while batting at three.

Ryan Rickelton, in his maiden IPL season, performed well for the Mumbai Indians. He scored 388 runs in 14 matches opening the innings at a strike rate of 150.97 with three fifties to his name. However, he will not be available for the playoffs as he is set to join South Africa squad for the WTC Final against Australia.

Will Jacks was another key member for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2025. He has left the squad to play for England in the ODI series vs West Indies. He scored 233 runs in 11 innings and also picked up six wickets with the ball. Jacks' impact at number three will be missed in the IPL 2025 playoffs.

Corbin Bosch of South Africa will also miss the IPL 2025 playoffs as he prepares for the WTC Final vs Australia. Bosch played only three matches for MI and picked up one wicket. He won't be missed much as MI have decent fast bowlers in the line-up.
