5 South African players who will have IPL teams' eyes on them during India T20I series

India will take on South Africa in the five-match T20I series, starting in Cuttack. There will be an IPL auction bang in the middle of the series and a few Proteas players, who are part of the T20 squad will be in the pool and the teams will have an eye on their performances through the series.

Quinton de Kock was a late entrant to the IPL auction roster, but he is there now and with a few teams looking for an opening wicketkeeper-batter, and the South African southpaw being an experienced and proven IPL performer, might have teams looking for him and how he performs in three T20Is before the auction.

David Miller hasn't played for nearly four months, with injury setbacks repeatedly hindering his comeback over the last few months. Miller, being fully fit now, will be raring to go and keen to impress a few IPL owners, who will be on the lookout for an experienced and proven finisher.

Anrich Nortje hasn't played much competitive cricket since last year's T20 World Cup, apart from a handful of appearances in the leagues across the world, including the IPL in 2025 for Kolkata Knight Riders. Nortje finally looks to be getting into the rhythm, having come through the CSA T20 Challenge and will be keen to use the T20 series to build his workload for the SA20, T20 World Cup and hopefully the IPL.

George Linde lit up last year's SA20 and has performed well for South Africa whenever an opportunity has come along. With a few teams looking for a spin all-rounder, Linde is likely to be in huge demand and his performances in the upcoming series might only increase his demand and hence, the price.

Lungi Ngidi was part of the IPL-winning squad for the RCB last year and in just one game he got, he showed that he is a wicket-taking option, alright with the pace and bounce and hit-the-deck skills. Ngidi might not be looked at as the leader of the bowling attack, but surely will be in discussions as a possible backup option.
