Star South Africa batter Dewald Brevis put in an excellent performance in the second T20I of the series against Australia. Scoring 125* runs, Brevis broke a plethora of records through his marvellous knock against the Aussies.
Dewald Brevis was exceptional for South Africa against Australia in the second T20I of the series, scoring 125* runs in 56 deliveries as the Proteas posted 218 runs in the first innings of the game. Throughout his knock, Brevis went on to break several records as well, his knock of 125* runs was the highest score of South Africa in T20I cricket.

Furthermore, through his onslaught against Australia, Brevis also went on to register the highest T20I score in Australia. The record was previously held by former Australia all-rounder Shane Watson who scored 124 runs against India in Sydney back in 2016.

It is also worth noting that Dewald Brevis is just 22 years old, and at 22 years and 105 days old, Brevis became the youngest player from South Africa to score a century in the shortest format of the game. He broke the record of Richard Levi who had scored a ton and was 24 years and 36 days old.

Furthermore, with an exuberant performance in the second T20I, it is interesting to note that Dewald Brevis took 41 balls to reach his century. The same is the second fastest century for South Africa in T20I cricket, the first place in the list is held by David Miller when he scored a 35-ball hundred against Bangladesh in 2017.

Helping South Africa win the game in convincing fashion, Brevis also became the first batter to score a century against Australia in Australia in T20I cricket. Furthermore, he also registered the highest T20I score against Australia, breaking the record held by Ruturaj Gaikwad.
