Shubman Gill became the fifth Indian cricketer to score a double century in both Test and ODI cricket. The list features the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma among others.
Shubman Gill became the fifth cricketer in history to record a double century in both ODI and Test cricket. The 25-year-old smacked a double ton in the first ODI against New Zealand in Hyderabad in 2023. His first Test double ton was registered against England at Edgbaston. He also became the fourth Indian cricketer to be part of the elite list.

Sachin Tendulkar was the first cricketer to register a double century in both Test and ODI cricket. The Master Blaster, as he is popularly known, hit six double centuries in Test cricket and was the first cricketer ever to register a double century in ODI cricket. The milestone was reached against South Africa in Gwalior in 2010.

Virender Sehwag was the second cricketer ever to register a double century in both Test and ODI cricket. He has surpassed the 200-run mark six times in Test cricket and remains the only Indian cricketer to score over 300 runs twice in Test cricket. When it comes to ODI cricket, Sehwag smacked a double century against West Indies in Indore in 2011.

Rohit Sharma was the third Indian cricketer to reach the milestone. The India captain hit a double century against South Africa in Ranchi in 2019. That remains his only double century in the longest format of the game. When it comes to ODIs, Rohit has smacked a double century three times. It was twice against Sri Lanka and once against Australia. He holds the record for the highest individual total in ODIs, with a 264-run knock against Sri Lanka at Eden Gardens in 2014.

Chris Gayle is the only non-Indian cricketer in the elite list. The former West Indies international surpassed the 200-run mark thrice in his Test career. The highest of them being 333 against Sri Lanka in Galle. When it comes to ODIs, the flamboyant batter scored a double century against Zimbabwe in the 2015 ODI World Cup.
