The Vivek Express holds the title of the longest train route (in terms of distance and time) in India, spanning from Dibrugarh in Assam to Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu. The train was launched in 2013 to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

The Vivek Express, covering a distance of approximately 4,200 kilometers, takes around 75 hours to complete its journey. It makes stops at over 59 stations along the way and takes four days to reach its destination.

The train operates twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. It departs from Dibrugarh at 7:35 pm and takes 74 hours and 20 minutes to reach Kanyakumari, arriving at 9:55 pm on the fourth day. The fare for AC 2 is Rs 4,450, for AC 3 is Rs 3,015, and for Sleeper Class is Rs 1,185. Fares are subject to change due to the dynamic fare system.

India's longest-running train, the 22504 Vivek Express, covers a distance of approximately 4,200 km, which is nearly the same as the distance from Delhi to Singapore, roughly 4,155 km (2,582 miles) by flight.
