Air India Plane Crash: PM Modi visits the site, meets lone survivor at the hospital in Ahmedabad
Air India flight headed for London on Thursday carrying 242 passengers, including former Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani, crashed in the Meghaninagar area close to the Ahmedabad airport in Gujarat. PM Modi visited the site on Friday.
The site of the flight India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crash, which claimed 241 lives the day before and was one of the deadliest flight tragedies in recent memory, was visited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi upon his arrival in Ahmedabad on Friday.

According to officials, the prime minister drove directly to the collision site in the Meghaninagar district after landing at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Airport. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel was with him.
