Janmashtami or also known as Krishna Janmashtami marks the birth of Lord Krishna and is one of the most auspicious festivals of the Hindus. The day is celebrated to remember his sayings through bhajans and songs that are played at houses and temples. India celebrated the festival on August 30 (Monday) with great joy and fervour.
