Rekha to Janhvi Kapoor: Celebs at Sonam Kapoor’s Mehendi and Sangeet celebration in shades of white (In Pics)

It was a star-studded celebration at Sonam Kapoor's mehendi and sangeet function today. The pre-wedding celebration took place in Mumbai's Sunteck Signature Island at Bandra Kurla Complex. 

Actress Sonam Kapoor was elegance personified as she chose to be in sync with the 'shades of white' dress code for her sangeet ceremony on Monday evening, a day before her wedding to Delhi-based businessman Anand Ahuja.

Sonam wore a traditional dress that featured a heavily-embroidered gold blouse and ivory-gold lehenga. She matched the dress with traditional jewellery -- jadau neckpiece, maang-tika and jhumkas. Her hair was neatly done up in a long braid and adorned with a white garland.

Sonam's close friends and co-actress of "Veere Di Wedding" Swara Bhaskar flaunted her beautiful Manish Malhotra designed white and golden lehenga, 

Director Farah Khan, who has a huge leg injury, arrived with her three children.

Also present at the ceremony were other family members - Boney Kapoor, Janhvi, Khushi, Sanjay Kapoor, wife Maheep Kapoor, daughter Shanaya, Mohit Marwah with wife Antara. 

Names from the film fraternity such as Rekha, Karan Johar, Rani Mukerji, Farah Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Sidhant Kapoor, designers Kunal Rawal and Masaba Gupta were also a part of the celebrations.
