Melbourne, Dec 12 : One person was injured on Sunday when a petrol tanker exploded in a south-eastern suburb of Melbourne.
The driver was offloading fuel at a petrol station in Rowville in the early hours of the morning when it ignited, according to local television news. He was taken to hospital with burns to his arms and legs.
The broadcaster also reported that around five hundred people had to be evacuated from a nearby nightclub.
Leaked fuel also scorched the driveway of a nearby hotel, igniting two parked cars.
Fire crews used foam on the fuel fire, which took about an hour to control.
