New Delhi: Pakistan's former President General Pervez Musharraf rearrested over Lal Masjid operation is prohibited from going outside the country, the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said today.

His statement came after speculations of Musharraf leaving the country after getting bail in three cases in which he got bail arose.

The retired Army Chief has now filed for bail plea in the red mosque operation case in an additional and sessions court.

However, the minister said that Musharraf is not allowed to leave Pakistan until and unless the apex court allows him to do so.

The former president's name is included in the Exit Control List and he can only leave the country if allowed by the country's apex court. "Musharraf's name was on Exit Control List and it would not be removed till the court's decision," Khan told reporters in the national capital Islamabad.
