Beijing: A Chinese man Yin Zhihe tried to kill his baby daughter by inserting sewing needles into her body.Man did so because he suspected that the newborn was not his biological child.
The man inserted needles twice into the baby's body. In the first attempt he inserted a needle into the baby's left rib on Aug 4 as his wife, surnamed Li, slept.
The next day, Yin and Li took the baby to a local hospital and the needle was removed from the baby's body.
In the second attempt Yin stuck three needles into the girl's chest and stomach which were removed after a surgery on Aug 23.
Later after performing the DNA test when it was assured that the baby is man's child.
The man turned himself in to police on Aug 25 and now have been sentenced to 10 years in prison for attempting to kill his baby daughter at a court hearing in Heilongjiang province on Monday.
