Kathmandu: The devastating temblor which rocked the Himalayan country Nepal on 25th April has left more than 5000 people killed. Kathmandu and its adjoining areas are most worst affected areas as the epicentre of the quake was located there.

 
No signs of life and activity can be found in these areas after the quake as every locality wears a deserted look.

The sight of Bughmati colony in Lalitpur which is completely destroyed and now presents a disturbing picture and no sign of life available after Saturday's quake.  
 
The historic Patan Durbar has also been completely destroyed after the 7.9 magnitude quake that struck Nepal.
 
Lalitpur which is situated on the outskirts of Kathmandu has also been severely affected by the quake. Most of the houses in this area are destroyed and it is feared that many people may got trapped under the rubble.
 
India has launched operation 'Maitri' to help Nepal in its moment of crisis. Indian Air Force is trying to reach the inner areas of Nepal where only air travel is the mode of communication after the road connectivity got disrupted in many part of Nepal.
