Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday doubled down on his vote theft claims against the Election Commission (EC) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), saying the saffron party's ideology is against the Constitution of India and that every Congress leader and worker will protect it.
"The Election Commission of India should give us the voter lists and video recordings from the last 10 years immediately," he said while addressing his party's 'Vote Adhikar Rally' in Bengaluru.
Speaking during the rally at Bengaluru's Freedom Park, Gandhi warned of vote tampering in Karnataka and other states. He also directed a strong message to the Election Commission, saying, "If you think you can get away with attacking the Constitution, think again."
"We will hold you accountable, one by one. It may take time, but we will do it," he added.

The Congress leader also responded to the Election Commission, asking for an affidavit from him.
"The EC says I must take an oath. But I've already taken an oath on the Constitution in Parliament. Today, when the people of the country are asking questions about our data, the Election Commission has shut down its website. The Election Commission knows that if the public starts questioning them, their entire structure will collapse," he said.
"If the Election Commission provides us with the electronic data, we will prove, loud and clear, that Narendra Modi became Prime Minister by stealing votes," Rahul said.

Further explaining what led to the revelation of vote theft in Maharashtra and Karnataka, Gandhi said, "When we did not get help from the Election Commission, we started our own investigation. For this, we chose the Mahadevapura Assembly constituency of the Bengaluru Central Lok Sabha seat."
"What we found in the investigation, I presented in a press conference in front of everyone and proved that the BJP and the Election Commission together stole votes. There are 6.5 lakh votes in the Mahadevapura Assembly constituency, and out of them, 1,00,250 votes were stolen. Meaning, the BJP stole 1 out of every 6 votes," he said.

Rahul further added he and the Congress can prove with conviction Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister by stealing, only if the EC gives them the electronic data of past elections.
"If the Election Commission provides us with electronic data, we will prove with absolute certainty that. Narendra Modi became Prime Minister by stealing votes," he said during the rally.
