New Delhi, Jan 7: Owners of top floor can now get an approval to build another floor without furnishing a no-objection certificate (NOC) from other floor owners in the building, says a Mail Today report.
According to the report, Delhi government has relaxed norms for construction of additional floors in residential flats that have a multiple ownership.
The report says, people who have a right over the top floor will no longer be required to obtain an NOC from the other floor owners for construction.
An official in Lieutenant Governor's office said, instruction has been given to all municipal corporations in December not to insist on production of NOC for giving approval for construction of top floor.
However, the occupants of the existing floors will have the option of expressing their views before the municipal corporations o the expansion of the building, the report says.
