    Goa Assembly to meet on Oct 18-19

    A two-day long session of the Goa Assembly will be held on October 18-19 as per a notification issued by the state legislature department, an official said on Friday.

    The controversial Bhumi Adhikarni Bill, which legalises several residential construction, is likely to be tabled during the session, the official said. It was passed in the House in July but was then held back after criticism from some segments.

    Kerala reports 23,260 COVID-19 cases

    Kerala logged 23,260 fresh COVID-19 cases on Friday, taking the total affected in the state to 44,69,488, while 131 fatalities took the toll to 23,296. The total number of those cured was 20,388, taking the overall number to 42,56,697.
