One person died after an old two-storey building collapsed in Thane's Bhiwandi.

A 24-year-old man was killed after being hit by a speeding bus here, police said on Friday. An FIR has been registered against the bus driver under sections 279 (rash driving) and 304A (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code at the Sector 65 police station, they said.

The Uttar Pradesh government on Friday held a roadshow here and received investment proposals worth Rs 9,000 crore for the state, said an official statement here. The roadshow was held in Chandigarh ahead of the Global Investors' Summit to be held in Lucknow from February 10-12.

Speaking at a press conference here on Friday, Rasool noted that the Yatra will start from Chursu in Awantipora area on Saturday, and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti along with a number of women will participate in it.

 A man was arrested for selling fake university degree certificates for the past many years, the Central Crime Branch of Bengaluru said.

As many as 6,800 fake certificates of 15 universities, 22 laptops, computers and 13 mobile phones were seized from the man, the CCB said in a statement here on Friday.
