Patna/Nalanda, Feb 18 : Furious candidates tore up the question paper and answer sheets for the Bihar State Teachers Eligibility Test on Friday after it was found that the question paper was leaked.
Candidates in Patna alleged that the question paper was available in the market much before the exam began, and it tallied with the original question paper. They tore up the question paper and boycotted the exam.
In Nalanda, candidates ransaked the exam hall, upturned tables and chairs, and tore up the question paper and answer sheets. Rapid Action Force had to be called in to control the situation.
In Begusarai, the candidates made a bonfire of the question papers, and broke tables and chairs inside the exam hall.
Eleven persons have been arrested so far in connection with the scam. The candidates have demanded fresh examination.
