54-Year-Old Shobha Joshi looks like a caring grandmother, with her freckled skin and tiny hands, but the mom from Dhule is busy preparing for motherhood seven months from now, reports Times of India.
Her chance to be a parent comes after a miscarriage and countless consultations with doctors during her 30-year marriage to Vidyadhar, a 54-year-old priest.
Now, the couple's dream of parenthood looks set to be fulfilled following successful in vitro fertilisation (IVF) using an embryo transfer. Not only are the Joshis expecting, tests reveal they're going to have twins.
“Our first pregnancy failed in the first year of our marriage. We met several doctors, but nothing worked. We almost gave up trying to have a child, and shared the joy of nurturing by caring for my brother's children,'' said Vidyadhar.
