Pune, June 18: Ten devotees were killed early this morning when a truck fell from a bridge into the Nira river in Maharashtra's Satara district.



 
The pilgrims were going to offer prayers at Pandharpur.
 
Five injured pilgrims have been admitted to hospital.
 
The truck fell from a height of nearly 40 feet into the river, sources said.
 
Most of the pilgrims were from Baramati, Union Minister Sharad Pawar's constituency.
