Uttar Pradesh Chief Information Secretary Navneet Sehgal’s convoy today met with an accident on Lucknow-Agra Expressway.
According to reports, the veteran IAS officer sustained serious injuries in the incident which took place near Hasanganj tehsil in Unnao district.
Sehgal was returning after reviewing trial of a fighter plane, when this unfortunate incident occurred.
Sehgal was immediately rushed to Trauma Centre in Lucknow for medical relief. The DM and SSP of Unnao have reached the spot after learning about the accident.
The accident was a head-on-collision, reports said.

The 302-km long Agra-Lucknow Expressway, constructed by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority, will be open for public on November 21, the eve of Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav's 78th birthday.
A dream project of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, the expressway was completed in a record time of 22 months and has cost Rs 13,200 crore.
The six-lane expressway (expandable to eight-lane in future) will cut travel time between Lucknow and Agra from 6 hours to 3:30 hours.
