Raising questions over the transfer of Superintendent of Police JP Mishra just a day ahead he was to submit a report in the Muzaffarpur shelter home rape case, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav attacked Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday over the shoddy investigation.

Tejashwi, the Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly, claimed that the probe into the horrific mass rape case was about to reach government offices in Patna but before that the government shifted the police officer.

“So after Bihar Governor, CM Nitish also got CBI SP transferred. Tomorrow he wud hv submitted progress report on #MuzaffarpurShelterHome mass rape case in Highcourt. The investigation was reaching to “Patna Sir” mentioned in Brajesh Thakur dairy. Chacha, wait & watch, Who’s he?” Tejashwi said in his attacking tweet.

Tejashwi, who had served as Nitish's deputy in the Mahagathbandhan government, has been relentlessly attacking his former boss over the Muzaffarpur case. He has demanded Nitish Kumar's resignation on multiple occasions.

Tejashwi has asked Nitish Kumar what relationship his party - Janata Dal United - had with Brajesh Thakur, the prime accused in the Muzaffarpur shelter home sexual abuse case.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi last week, Tejashwi called Nitish a 'coward' while accusing him of shielding people involved in the horrific case.

"Nitishji must resign on moral grounds as he's unable to run the state. It'll be proved he's the most coward CM who isn't fighting for justice for our daughters, but shielding those who committed crime. He must resign from state Home Ministry as well," Tejashwi Yadav had said.
